Diptyque Florabellio Eau De Toilette

Inspiration Behind Diptyque Florabellio Eau De Toilette

There’s a beautiful inspiration behind Diptyque’s latest perfume, Florabellio Eau De Toilette.

“…a Normandy village bathed in sea spray,
the smell of apples drying on racks at the end of the summer, the familiar and comforting smell of roasted coffee escaping from the local grocery store…” (from their own words)

This vivid childhood memory came from Christiane Gaurtro, one of the Diptyque founders, and it took more than five years to combine and capture this olfactory landscape into what is now known as “Florabellio”.

Diptyque describes Florabellio Eau De Toilette with the following:

“Invigorating and salty sea spray mingles with the vegetal bitterness of sea fennel. It then develops around soft and sensual apple blossom, and in the background, like an optical illusion, swirling wafts of roasted coffee with toasted sesame accents.”

Photographed by Terri Weifenbach, we love how these two pictures perfectly capture the scents and the inspirations behind it. If you are hunting for a great Spring / Summer fragrance, add this to your shopping list.
